Policies, Terms, & Conditions

  • A Deposit payment of $500 per traveler per tour is required to secure a reservation. Reservation is not confirmed until traveler receives written confirmation from CamibaArt Tours, LLC (dba Camiba Cultural Tours. Reservation will be confirmed in writing after:

    • We receive a $500 deposit payment for each traveler

    • Traveler provides: Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, Postal Mailing Address, a list of any dietary preference or concerns, and a list of any health restrictions or concerns

    • For International Tours: a copy of traveler’s Passport verifying it is valid 6 months past the date of the tour

    • Confirmation that traveler has read and approved of our Tour Policies as posted on our website

    Traveler has 24 hours after placing deposit to cancel reservation and receive a full refund without any fees.

  • Each tour’s Overview Sheet includes details for payment deadlines. Please refer to these sheets for more information on costs and deadlines. If Camiba Cultural Tours does not receive the payments by the posted deadlines, Camiba Cultural Tours reserves the right to regard the reservation as canceled by the traveler.

  • To cancel the reservation for a tour, please send us an email (camiba@camibaculturaltours.com) notifying us of the cancellation. For clarity and to avoid any miscommunication, we will only consider a reservation canceled once we receive an email from traveler AND traveler receives acknowledgment of receipt from us in writing. Based on this cancellation acknowledgment date, we will refund your Deposit and Balance, minus the following fees (per traveler per tour):

    • Cancellation within 24 hours of placing the deposit: no fee

    • Cancellation before tour makes: $50 fee

    • Cancellation from trip make date to 56 days prior to trip start date: $500 fee

    • Cancellation from 42 to 55 days prior to trip start date: 45% of tour price

    • Cancellation from 28 to 41 days prior to trip start date: 65% of tour price

    • Cancellation from 14 to 27 days prior to trip start date: 85% of tour price

    • Cancellation from 0 to 13 days prior to trip start date: 100% of tour price

  • Although Camiba Cultural Tours makes every effort to conduct every confirmed tour as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel, re-schedule, or alter any tour for any reason. If unforeseen circumstances require a change to the tour itinerary, Camiba Cultural Tours will make every effort to keep modifications of the itinerary to a minimum and to select alternative hotels of the same standard.

    If Camiba Cultural Tours cancels the tour due to acts of insurrection, strikes, acts of God or any other cause beyond our control, refunds will be made based on what (if anything) is recoverable by Camiba Cultural Tours.

  • Travelers have the opportunity to book either a single occupancy room or a double occupancy room. Travelers selecting a double occupancy room are responsible for securing another traveler to occupy the room with them. If requested, Camiba Cultural Tours will try to assist in finding a roommate, but the ultimate responsibility remains with the Traveler. If no roommate is found by the posted tour closing date, the Traveler will be required to upgrade their room to a Single Occupancy room with the required increase in cost, or they may cancel their reservations incurring applicable fees noted in the “Cancellations by Travelers” section.

    Travelers are solely responsible for determining whether food & drink consumed is consistent with their dietary requirements or preferences. Camiba Cultural Tours is not responsible for cross-contamination or service of food or drink, by Camiba Cultural Tours or others, that do not meet the travelers dietary preferences or restrictions. The traveler is responsible for choosing a trip that fits their abilities, level of fitness and health.     The traveler is responsible for reading the pre-trip information material and bringing all of the appropriate clothing and equipment, as well as acting in accordance with the customs and laws of the regions visited.

    Camiba Cultural Tours reserves the right to accept, remove, retain or decline any traveler at any time during a tour for any reason. In such case, a refund equal to the actual cost of the unused services is the limit of Camiba Cultural Tours’ responsibility.

    Camiba Cultural Tours recommends travelers always purchase refundable or exchangeable flights.

    Camiba Cultural Tours recommends travelers consider purchasing travel insurance for multiple situations including travel interruption, travel delay, health/emergency, etc.

  • Camiba Cultural Tours, its members, employees, and agents, hereby give notice to traveler that all services and arrangements related to the tour have been made by Camiba Cultural Tours only as agents upon the express condition that Camiba Cultural Tours shall not be liable and does not assume responsibility for any claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss whether to person or property arising out of any injury, accident, death, cancellation, inconvenience, delay, alteration, or required modification to tour dates or tour itineraries resulting from any act, omission, or inadvertence of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, government, or any other person or entity, or that which is caused by weather, sickness, pandemics, strikes, quarantines, or the willful or negligent acts of any other tour members or any other cause whatsoever that is beyond the control of Camiba Cultural Tours.

    The traveler agrees to allow Camiba Cultural Tours to take photographic or film records of any of our trips and trip participants, including traveler, and traveler hereby authorizes and license to Camiba Cultural Tours on a worldwide royalty-free basis the right to use any photos that include image or likeness for promotional and/or commercial purpose, in perpetuity.

    Payment of deposit represents traveler’s acceptance of these Term and Conditions, all general information listed on the website policies page ( https://camibaculturaltours.com/policies ), and subsequent trip departure material.

Loyalty Program

  • The Loyalty Program's purpose is to reward repeat travelers with an upgraded experience while still maintaining the cohesiveness of the group experience. Points allocation is at the discretion of Camiba Cultural Tours and our decisions regarding allocation and valuation are final. Points have no cash value. Loyalty program benefits may change at any time at the discretion of Camiba Cultural Tours.

  • (1) Loyalty Member Tier 1

    • Qualification: the completion of at least 1 tour of any type

    • Benefits: email announcement of new tours 15 days before announcement to the general pubic. $100 discount off published tour prices if reservations and deposits are made before the tours go public

    (2) Loyalty Member Tier 2

    • Qualification: traveler has accumulated at least 56 travel points

    • Benefits: all of Tier 1 plus an upgraded / personalized welcome basket on each tour

    (3) Loyalty Member Tier 3

    • Qualification: traveler has accumulated at least 140 travel points

    • Benefits: all of Tier 2 plus accommodations upgrade. Because of our tour destinations' unique accommodations, upgrade varies depending on location. It may include a larger room, preferred view, or preferred location.

  • Upon the completion of every tour, points will be allocated to tourists' accounts with the following guidelines:


    (1) Tours completed before January 1, 2023

    • 1 point for each day trip (no overnight stay)

    • 6 points for each tour with 1 to 4 night stay

    • 12 points for each tour with 5+ night stay

    (2) Tours completed after January 1, 2023

    • 1 point for each tour (day trip or studio tour) that does not include an overnight stay

    • 2 points for each night of an overnight tour
